Current Prayer - News Letter

June 2010

Dear Faithful Friends,

There is so much we wish to share with you, but space may not allow for it all. First, we want to thank you for praying for Msan.

Please continue to pray. God is definitely speaking to her heart. “How can God forgive everyone?” What a door and an opportunity to further explain the gospel to her. Only the Holy Spirit can convict, so we are still praying for her.

Another concern we have is for the elderly. Many are living alone. In the past few months, several have been found dead, but were not discovered until weeks or months later. The current generation has no consideration for the elderly.

The Lord has blessed us with some more equipment for church. Since we are trying to print out more information to pass out about church, we now have a cutter that cuts a hundred sheets of paper equally at the same time. This has been on our needs list for the past several months, because the company has been sold out. This month supplies were restocked and we were able to get one. Pray for us as we continue to work for the Lord in Japan.

This summer Japan has a big election coming up in July. There are two religious cult groups with money and power who want to control the country. Our religious freedom is getting seriously limited. If either of the groups win, it will be more difficult to spread the gospel. Japan needs your prayers.

Personal news:
Our family now has a scooter. Since our car only legally holds 4 passengers, if we have a 5th person, then one of us can ride the moped. With soaring gas prices, it is also convenient if only one of us needs to run an errand. Again the Lord led us to a bargain. Oh, by the way, James now has his driver´s license, but only for the scooter. So he can ride our yellow bike, too. (In Japan, car license are issued at age 18.) Thank you for praying for Joy. She is doing well. Please continue to pray for her as she has one more year of college.

Thank you for your faithful prayers and support.

In His service,
The Miyashita Family
