January 2012 Prayer - News Letter
Greetings for a New Year,
The year 2011 was one to be remembered, especially for those of us who were in Japan for the
earthquake last March. People are still trying to adjust to living. The radiation is still at a high
level and many families are not allowed to visit their houses or property.
During the past 10 months, we were able to visit all our supporting churches. As we mentioned to
most of you, the next time may be difficult for Tea to get a visa longer than 90 days. Please be
assured that we will return to visit as often as we can.
This coming year is going to be different for our family. James will be staying in America to
attend college. Joy just got engaged to a guy she has been dating for several years. However,
Scott, Julie and Sean are still in Georgia.
An answer to prayer from our last prayer letter. The Lord provided our tickets and we are so
thankful. We are excited to get back and continue the work in Japan. With tickets in hand, our
first thoughts were, "We are going home." January 24, there will only be two of us returning to
Japan.
Please pray for us as we return to Japan to work. The conditions are not too good because of the
radiation, but we know that this is where God wants us. Several people have tried to "encourage"
us to stay in the States, but it is our desire to do God´s will, not man´s. Especially pray for us as
we want to make a short trip to the disaster area to help spread the gospel. The hearts of the
Japanese are more receptive.
Thank you for your faithful support and continual prayers. God bless and Happy New Year.
